4 Year Academic Plan
My 4 year plan is now actually a two semester plan. I'm graduating next December! I started out as hospital and health administration, then exercise physiology, and now business.
3 Most Substantial Accomplishments
1) My Marriage: There is nothing more important to me than my family. My wife will be the one who will be with me every step of the way, for the rest of our lives. She is supporting and loving and cooks some really good food. My decision to marry her was a culmination of all that I had learned about life and living up to that point. Now that we’re married, it’s the most important relationship that I have to another person on this earth. We work together every day for a stronger marriage.
2) My Mission: I served in San Diego, California. I was committed, every day, for two years, to a good cause. I would argue it’s not just “a” good cause, but “the” good cause. The gospel is the good news, and I felt like my spiritual development was heightened for that time. I was not only teaching the gospel, I was really learning it for myself. I still think of my mission often and am grateful for the lessons learned while there.
3) My College Career: You are what you consistently do. So that means that I’m a bookworm. Actually, that’s not true. I think the consistent part with me is that I am very involved and dedicated in my classes. I want to do well in each class and have put my best foot forward in every class I’ve been in (well, after my mission at least). Once I got my priorities straight, my grades have been solid for the past 3 years, and I’ve brought my GPA up from a 3.5 to a 3.85.

2 Items to Move Forward (Mentoring/Networking)
Mentoring/Networking Plan: Describe what have you done and plan to do to make contacts with those working in your area of interest?
1) Mentoring- I have some great mentors on the website here. I feel comfortable keeping in contact with all of them and plan to do so. I hope I, myself, can be a help to someone else, even before I graduate.
2) Networking- I was just elected as dental society president. Woot! Now that's what I'm talking about....and now there's so much to do! But think about it, there's 80 students, on average, in the pre-dental society. I can network and gain friendships with a lot of those guys. I will also be the one contacting dentists and specialists in the Rexburg/Idaho Falls areas. This is also a great opportunity for me to network.

1 Career Vision
My career vision is becoming a dentist, and opening a practice in Northern Idaho.
When I was a kid, we didn't have dental insurance, yet my mom would make sure that our teeth were taken care of. She also put each of her 5 kids through braces, which I am eternally grateful for. I know that a lot of self-confidence comes from being able to look at myself in the mirror and be confident in the way I look.
I have a drive for helping the overall health of each individual in the communities I live in. I want to help promote health. I also want to be an entrepreneur. I also want to be in the health field. Dentistry, I feel, blends all of my passions and career goals into one.
I asked myself a question the other day, one I think everyone should ask themselves. "Am I just doing this for the money?" I thought about it for a while, and the answer came back to be a , "no." Money is important, so their has to be the reward monetarily, but the more important thing will be to be doing something I love to do and helping others.

0 Internship Plan
I completed my internship at the BYU-Idaho recycling center. I helped the implementation of the curbside recycling program, and my marketing campaign went out to over 2000 homes in Rexburg. It was a tremendous learning experience, and an opportunity that I am glad I took advantage of.
